Continuing on from this post, I wanted to go into a bit more detail of how my mindset changed after my health assessment. It dawned on me whilst I was away that it was less than 3 months until I turned 30. For some reason (familiar to some, but peculiar to others) turning 30 scares me terribly! I guess society has it drilled into us that by the time we are 30 (and particularly as women), we will be married, have at least 1 child, own a home and have a successful career. We will know what we want in life and be well on the way to achieving that, if not already.
Merry Christmas everyone!
It’s that time of year again and I thought this picture was quite appropriate.
It’s only one day – and I’ve learnt this year that it’s all about moderation!
Enjoy yourself this Christmas 🙂
Decisions
And so my favourite time of year has come to an end. I can’t believe it’s over…it’s scary how quickly the past week went by. I planned to write a lot more than I did; but I am pleased to report that I got to see many of my friends and spend some quality time with family – and that, to me, is what the Christmas season is all about.
Happy Holidays!
My favourite time of year is upon us – a time for giving, a time for catching up with loved ones and the weather is always so nice and hot!!! (Here in Australia anyway). A perfect time for celebrations!
As of Friday, I have a week off work and so am staying with my family in our Nations Capital – Canberra. I can’t say how good it is to have left the big smoke of Sydney. I feel relaxed and re-energised and I have noticed since being down here that everyone is a lot more friendly and embraces the holiday season much more!
Although it has only been a few days so far it has already given me time to reflect on the year that has been and begin the preparations for the new year. Over the next few posts I am going to note down my plans for getting my health and fitness back on track. 2013 – it will be a fresh start! Exciting!
Last week after work we had a team Christmas dinner and exchanged Christmas gifts. My gift was a beautiful little candle and some “Believe Mantra Cards” from Lorna Jane. The perfect gift, as I have been focussing on improving my motivation lately. I believe this will come in handy in the new year to help me get on track!
Christmas in Sydney
This photo doesn’t do the tree justice – but walking through Darling Harbour earlier in the week I came across this large Christmas tree. It is truly spectacular and brought a smile to my face 🙂 Merry Christmas Everyone!
PS. It has been a busy week so I will get another proper blog post together tomorrow.
