New website

Hey guys!

So finally I can let you all in on my news!  Progressionofme has a brand new home and the website will go live tomorrow!  So please check back here then for the link so you can head on over and check it out!  I am super excited to be moving in a slightly different direction and eventually I hope that the website will align with my career.
This blog will still be here for a while but will no longer be active after tomorrow – so please subscribe to the new page.  I will be updating it more regularly than this site has been and there are a few surprises too.

Fiit Chicks.

Whilst at Filex earlier this year, I was introduced to Fiit Chicks.  My friend had been following them on Facebook previously but I had not heard of them.  I started following them on Facebook and have found them to be a wonderfully supportive online community of women helping each other on their health journeys.

I was going to write about an article I read on their site recently which I found really interesting but instead I thought I’d just post the link here for you to check out yourselves.  I think everyone could benefit from these tips – even incorporating one of them into your everyday life would be a step forward!

I know that I have already incorporated some of the items into my lifestyle however there are many more I’d like to try out.

Australian Fitness and Health Expo

Australian Fitness and Health Expo

So – I’m Back! I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth…but more about that next time. This is just a quick post to say that there is a lot to come! I’ve been dealing with a bit emotionally but I feel I’m coming out on the other side fresher and ready for an exciting new chapter!

On the weekend I visited the Australian Fitness and Health Expo and the picture is all the awesome samples, information and products I came home with!! Well worth the money and it’s really got me pumped!

Preparation is key

According to Google, the word preparation means:

1. The action of making ready or being made ready to use.  

2. Something done to get ready for an event or undertaking.

You are going on a trip, you have an upcoming exam, you are hosting a party, you want to run that marathon….for any of these things there’s a certain amount of preparation which must be done.  But when it comes to our diet the majority of us are not prepared!  It feels so much easier to buy that coffee and muffin on the way to the school…to go in on lunch with the team at work….

Foundations of Health

Firstly – can I say that Alexisonfire was amazing last night?!!!  What a way to say goodbye!  ❤  But more about that later….

Recently, I’ve been struggling with motivation – particularly when it comes to my diet.  I’ve found with everything that’s been going on this year, food has become a bit of a comfort.  Emotional eating I think they call it? 😉

So, with this in mind my personal trainer and I sat down and went through a number of factors which influence overall health and fitness.  The easiest way for me to explain these is with diagrams…
