from eighty four to now…

Living for the moment.

As we approach the end of 2014 I can say that this year, like each year, has disappeared more quickly than the last.  At this time of year we have the opportunity to look back on what was and think about what is to come.  But most importantly, it’s a time when most people have a few minutes to just breathe.  And enjoy NOW.  Life is so busy most of the year, that I urge you to take a step back, and if you have 4 minutes, I beg you, please watch this.  That is all.

What are you waiting for? Now is the perfect time!

Whilst watching a lecture on motivation for uni, I came across this video which I really liked.  Enjoy 🙂

And on a side note, yesterday was my 2 year anniversary with WordPress.  I can’t believe it’s been two years since I decided to start blogging.  For those that have stuck with me – thank you!

Happy!

Tonight at Zumba we had a very small class. There were only 5 of us which was kinda cool. I normally try to get to Zumba at least once a week – ideally twice. Wednesday night’s always tend to be smaller for some reason. When I go on Saturdays it is always jam-packed.

Anyway I really enjoyed tonight’s class – there was a good mix of tracks, some laughs and we ended the class with HAPPY by Pharrell Williams. As I left I felt really energised and well…HAPPY! So I thought I’d share this song with anyone who hasn’t heard it before. If you can’t smile and feel happy listening to it then I think there’s something wrong with you 😛

It also got me thinking of how important it is to enjoy your work outs. It’s the key to keeping motivated. If you really don’t enjoy a form of exercise DON’T try to force yourself to do it. Find something you love and you’ll find your motivation. It’s that simple 🙂

What will you do?

I saw this video posted on an amazing blog I follow and I thought it deserved more than a “reblog”. I thought I’d write an actual post about it.

It really puts into perspective how much time we have (or don’t have) and that we really should be making the most of each and every day!

It is another take on “life is too short” and that if we aren’t happy doing what we are doing then we need to change it.  We really don’t know how many jelly beans we have left…

1 Year On….

Yes, I know, I’ve been MIA for a few weeks now – but I’m happy to report that whilst being away I’ve made a few big decisions and I’ve set some goals.  I feel like I’ve taken a few steps forward.  Today I logged on to WordPress to write an update, and funnily enough today is the 1 year anniversary of Progression Of Me.

A LOT has changed over the past year and the two biggest lessons learnt for me would be to trust your gut and to be true to yourself.  I will go into more detail about this in my next post, but ultimately if you’re not true to yourself, if you’re living a lie, what is the point?  My move back home was one of the best things I could do…by being in Sydney I wasn’t happy and my health was suffering.  Although I’ve still got a long way to go it’s one step at a time…

This all may seem quite cryptic right now but I will explain in my next post.  Instead of an update today, I want to share with you a video I came across on a wonderful website I recently stumbled across.  The points this speaker makes can be used in any situation and I think everyone could learn something from this.  Enjoy.
